It's 73 degrees out at 8:23 in the morning. That's pretty cool for that time of morning. It's going to reach 108 degrees today. I think summer is officially here! Can't wait to start swimming. The water is still too cold for me to swim, but hopefully it'll be so hot Memorial Day weekend that the water will feel great!

We are getting a little storm tonight. It's blowing up like crazy!! Now I get to drive in it to pick up Robert. It's pretty exciring though! This picture was taken right before we got hit with wind, dust and rain. So pretty right before the storm.
I also discovered that I need new windshield wipers! Good thing I took the back roads. Look at the size of that rain cloud?
We've been having some hot days lately (100 plus temps). Looks like we are having a cold front coming through. There's a chance it might rain on Thursday. That's exciting for us around here!! Keeping my fingers crossed that is does indeed rain. ☔
~ Been a little under the weather this past weekend.
Feeling a little bit better. Robert and I have had little colds. Hoping to be better by the end of the week. I have cookies to bake! Been sanitizing the whole house.
We've had a lot of rain and a lot of snow up north. The sun never came out yesterday. I don't think it's gonna be shining til maybe Wednesday. It's dark again today and more rain is coming. Here's a look at some of the flooding we had yesterday. Luckily, it wasn't that bad.

This little girl has been hibernating. She's cold! All she does is sleep in her favorite blanket.
Football practice has started. It's been hot, humid and we've had some storms. Here's a picture I took at practice the other night before we had a little storm.

So football is in full swing. Practice started this past week and we have one week until school starts. I can't believe it! Time to get organized and ready for late nights getting home and late night dinners. I've been using my crock-pot like crazy this week trying out some new recipes. So ready to get back on a routine!
Last night we got plummeted with rain. Really bad!! It kept me up most of the night. The rain was so loud I thought the roof was going to cave in on our skylight in our master bathroom. The thunder was loud, followed by lots of lightning. Dave ended up flying the night shift yesterday and never made it home. The wind was so bad they couldn't land back in Mesa and had to go to Tucson. They had to take a shuttle back to Phoenix. He got home around noon today and had enough time to get ready to go do the same thing all over again tonight. Poor guy is going to crash hard when he gets home sometime late tonight.
Here's what the storm did to our back lawn. No real damage. Just a lot of mess to clean up.
Then today it snowed!!! I did get it on film. Just need to figure out how to upload it to my blog. Here's a picture. The video is better.
It didn't stick to the ground and it only snowed for a minute or two. See I got a picture of a tiny snowball to prove it. It was pretty cool for us AZ folks.

Yesterday, we woke up to weather we never wake up too. Robert was watching the news and they said we had dense fog. Having lived in Northern California, Dave and I are used to the fog. Actually, we LOVE it! We think it's really cool. ;) We've been in fog so bad that we could not drive.
So back to yestyerday......Robert walked to the bus stop and loved the fog too. I started to drive to work. As I drove west it only got worse. I mean much worse. I was watching the other drivers because a lot of them had no idea what to do. A lot of people had their brights on. NOT what you should do.
When I got to work I snapped a few pictures. My camera made them all brighter. I didn't use a flash, but they all came out brighter. It was much darker and the fog was thicker.
Just three more days and we get to spend a week in the fog! :)
Today we are celebrating Christmas with my side of the family since we are going away.
We had our first monsoon rain for this summer. It was about time! I was in the gym before it started, so I have no idea if it was real windy or dusty. I don't think it was. Debbie and I left the gym to get some dinner. We had an hour to kill before we went back for a nutrition class. It was just lightly spitting when we left. By the time we drove to the other end of the shopping center is was coming down hard. It rained the whole hour that we were in the restaurant. Even after our class was over it was still raining.
This morning on the way to work it was sprinkling for about a mile.

Robert met Kylie half way (she only lives one street away) and they went running in the rain. They are nuts.

They said it was going to be bad today and it hit right as I was leaving work. High winds up to 50 mph and so much blowing dust! Robert had baseball practice at 4:30. I didn't think they'd be able to practice it was so bad. Just as they were about to bat it did settle down a little. I've been wanting to take some pictures of Robert playing baseball, but they play at night and I just can't get any good shots. I did snap one photo.
Tomorrow we will have a high of 64. Going to have a couple of colder days here. We are having some friends over tomorrow for tortilla soup and do a little pumpkin carving. :)
