{Our house guest}

We had a house guest all day yesterday. My sister and her family are going to Disneyland for the week so my parents are watching their dog, Carlton. They went on a road trip yesterday so we got to watch him. He's the best dog. So cute and so good!

 

{Under the Weather}

~ Been a little under the weather this past weekend.

Feeling a little bit better.  Robert and I have had little colds.  Hoping to be better by the end of the week.  I have cookies to bake!  Been sanitizing the whole house.

We've had a lot of rain and a lot of snow up north.  The sun never came out yesterday.  I don't think it's gonna be shining til maybe Wednesday.  It's dark again today and more rain is coming.  Here's a look at some of the flooding we had yesterday.  Luckily, it wasn't that bad.

This little girl has been hibernating.  She's cold!  All she does is sleep in her favorite blanket.

{It Rained!!}

We had our first monsoon rain for this summer.  It was about time!  I was in the gym before it started, so I have no idea if it was real windy or dusty.  I don't think it was.  Debbie and I left the gym to get some dinner.  We had an hour to kill before we went back for a nutrition class.  It was just lightly spitting when we left.  By the time we drove to the other end of the shopping center is was coming down hard.  It rained the whole hour that we were in the restaurant.  Even after our class was over it was still raining.

This morning on the way to work it was sprinkling for about a mile.

Robert met Kylie half way (she only lives one street away) and they went running in the rain.  They are nuts. 

That's about it for here.  I'll leave you with a fun picture of Pumpkin.  One morning before I left for work I found her getting some morning sun laying on her back.  Too funny!  I love this cat!

 

Pumpkin and Sky

Tonight Dave and I found some Halloween clothes for Pumpkin and Sky.  Pumpkin got a little collar which she hated!  Poor cat.  I knew she wouldn't like it, but Dave had to get it.  Here she is hiding and very mad. 

Here's Sky in her new pumpkin sweater.  She loves it!  It's keeping her very warm.  Dave put on Pumpkin's collar for the photo.  She didn't like that very much so it's off.  Sky is sound asleep on the couch with her little sweater on. 

Robert went to the football game tonight.  Dave and I went shopping, had a nice dinner and watched some TV. 

Dave is off tomorrow.  We are going to decorated the outside for Halloween.  I noticed a few houses are already decorated in our neighborhood.  I hope to post some photos tomorrow.

This is too much!!

Tonight Jamie and I  were sitting in my scraproom watching a movie.  I look down and Sky is sitting under the blanket with Jamie watching the movie.  I had to quickly grab my camera.  This cat is so human!  She's just not normal!! :) 

What a week!

It's been a crazy week!!  Our kitchen remodel finally started on Monday (a week late).  So Monday they ripped out the kitchen and started to install the new one.  Here are 2 pictures of what it looks like right now.  Still not finished.  The cabinets should all be done by tomorrow.  They managed to cut part of the old counter top and keep that on top of the new sink cabinet so we'll have a sink for the next three weeks.  They'll measure for the new counter tops next week and they'll take 2-3 weeks.  So this project probably won't be done until the beginning of July.  Once that's done we'll pick out flooring. 

We had a little birthday dinner for my dad on Tuesday.  Tuesday morning my dad came over and suprised Robert's with tickets to the day game on Wednesday for the Diamondbacks and Phillie's game.  He was so suprised.  They had a blast!  The Phillies sweeped the D-Backs!  Dad was very happy!!  We were not! :)

Other than that nothing is new.  Just catching up here and Sky is in her normal seat watching me!

What's up for this week?

We've been painting our kids hair red and giving the cat a bath!  OK we aren't really painting Robert's hair red, but he got a hair cut today and came home with red hair gel.  Pretty cool huh?  It'll wash right out.  As for the cat?  Well she gets a bath, her teeth brushed and ears cleaned about every other week.  Kind of sick huh?  Yes this kind of cat is "high" maintenance!  Since Dave had to have her it's his responsibility to take care of her.  I think it would have been easier to have another kid sometimes.  They train much easier! ;)  So that's all we've been up to this week.      

Our new kitty!!

Dave finally got his dream cat!  Yes it's a Sphynx.  Her name is Sky.  She's 2 years old.  Pumpkin is slowly adjusting that she has to share her space.  She's had the run of the house for 4 years.  Sky is a very sweet, lovable cat.  She's fitting in perfectly with our family.
