Fall is here!!

It feels like fall in the mornings and evenings.....you can feel it in the air.  So happy it's September.  This is my favorite time of year.  The house is decorated for fall.  I even put out my Halloween stuff.  I only put that out because I am having a Gold Canyon open house next weekend so I wanted it all out for October 1st.  Here's a little corner of my house.

 

We had a home football game this week.  We won 68-9!  We had a fun night watching the game and visiting with friends. After the game we all went out to dinner. Here are some photos from after the game.

Happy Halloween!

We were up and out of the house early to take Jamie to the airport.  She made it home safe and sound.  We really miss her a lot!  Looking forward to seeing her at Christmas. 

 
We stayed home all day.  I watched a lot of TV and caught up on some DVR'd shows.  Robert had no intention of trick 'r treating this year until some friends started calling and asking him what time they were all meeting up.  So he decided to go.  My parents came over and we played games until Dave got home from work.  Then Dave and I watched the same movie we watch every year on Halloween night.  Night of the Living Dad that was made in 1968. 

 
I picked up Robert from where they started trick 'r treating when they were done.  Luckily, I was able to get this picture of the kids that were still waiting for rides. 
 
It's been a fun week and it's all back to work and school tomorrow.  Football is over.  Now it's just baseball.  Just one game a week until Thanksgiving. 

This also ends my 31 days of blogging for October.  Glad some other blogging friends got to join me this year.  :)   

Halloween Party

Our Halloween party was a lot of fun!  I think we finally went to bed after 1:30.  Here's a couple pictures towards the end of the party.  Not all the kids are in the picture.  It was late and it was hard enough to get them together for a picture.

Fear Farm

Tonight we went to the Fear Farm.  We had so much fun!  It was fun to have Jamie with us. We are all so tired we are calling it a night.  Here's some photos from tonight.

 

 
 

 

Graveyard Crunch

We love making this snack during the month of October.  I made chex mix for this weeks game, but making Graveyard Crunch for next weeks game.  This stuff is GOOD!  Sorry for the short post.  It's been crazy busy and I have so much to do this week before Jamie gets here on Sunday.

Today I got off early.  We bought a new mattress for Robert.  He thought we were going to buy it after he got out from football practice.  I bought it before and had it waiting for him when he got home.   He was pretty happy and surprised since he had a headache and was just exhausted.   I thought he might like this bedding (and he did) so I was glad I took a chance and picked it up while I was out. 

 
Sorry I can't get a bigger image of this bedding.  I'll need to take a picture of it from his room.  It's grey, red and charcoal. 

{Halloween is approaching really fast!}

This month is just flying by fast!  We were talking tonight about what haunted house we are going to go to this year.  Since Jamie will be here and she's never been, we'll go to the Fear Farm.  Dave, Robert and I had a  blast last year.  It was Robert's first time going.  Here's the link to our pictures from last year.  Robert has changed a lot.  He's as tall as Dave now. 

Also, we bought the sequel to "30 Days of Night", called "30 Days of Night - Dark Days"  It went straight to DVD.  It was ok.  Not the best, but just ok.  

 
That's all that's going on right now. This weekend is a busy one.  We have a party to attend for one of Robert's friends who is turning 15.  I like that they invited whole families.  It will be nice to visit with some friends we haven't seen in awhile.  We also have a baby baptism on Sunday.  Plus, getting ready for Jamie's visit.  She'll be here a week from this Sunday.  Can't wait!!

 

 

{Game Night!}

Pulled out our favorite Halloween Yahtzee games.  Tonight we are grilling steaks and playing games.  No school, no homework.  Thought we'd have some fun before it's back to school again tomorrow.  Robert did have football practice this afternoon and Dave and I both had to work.  It's so nice out in the evenings.  Spending as much time outside as we can.

 

{My New Halloween Picture}

I ordered a vinyl decal from Wonderfully Wordy.  Shelley, the owner, makes the cutest decals ever!  That link above is for her Halloween vinyls.  Here's the link to her main site.  She also has a blog called House of Smith's.  Cute ideas on decorating too.  When I saw this decal I knew I had to have it!  Here's how mine turned out.  I bought a 11x14 frame.  This one was from Walmart and I  got it for $5.00.  I adhered the mirrored vinyl to the glass and used the brown backround that came with the frame.  I could of added black paper for the background too, but for now I went with the light brown.

Shelley's service is fast!  It was great to order from her and I will again soon.  This was my first time using vinyl and it was pretty easy.   

We had a huge storm roll through here yesterday evening.  I mean HUGE!  I was picking up Robert from football practice and it looked like a tornado was going to hit.  The clouds were huge, low, white and dark and they just seemed to roll in so quickly.  Then the sky opened up and it poured like crazy.  There was around 4 inches of water by my car.  My shoes were soaked!  It was pretty cool.  We really needed the rain. 

{Some Favorites}

Thought I'd share a few favorites today.  I have a lot, but here's three.

Censtational Girl.  Love this site.  This girl can re-do stuff really good!  Plus, she lives in my favorite part of the US in Northern California (I miss living in the wine country).   Also, Censtational Girl designed these cute Halloween labels here and here that you can download and print for free.  I am for sure printing these for our Halloween party.

Next is The Funky Bag Lady.  My friend Ann-Marie aka The Funky Bag Lady is one awesome seamtress!  I love her new style bag called Fiona. 

 
 This is the perfect Fall bag!

Last is my favorite scrappy site called Scrapbook Doodle.  These girls are so fun and nice!  We check in almost daily and chat about all kinds of things.  What I love most about this board is there is NO drama!  Now I don't scrap as much as I used to, but that's ok.  I will someday again.  If you are looking for some new Halloween or Fall product check these out!

We had a nice little storm roll through here last night.  Lots of thunder and just enough rain.  Our temperature really dropped too.  It wa nice to have the windows open.  This week it's finally going to cool off.
