The Lopez Life

It was a little cold....

......up at the cabin.  This morning it was 47 degrees when we got up.  It was so nice to be in cool weather and wear jackets and use a few blankets.  I ended up taking scrap supplies and scrapped my butt off.  ;)  My mom always talks me into it.  I'm glad I did.  We had such a fun weekend.  I wanted to take lots of pictures and of course didn't.  Here's a few I did take.

We also got to see 6 little raccoons late last night on the deck.  I couldn't open the door to get pictures.  They were so cool to watch! 

We drove home early so Robert could make a birthday party to the Rock Solid Gym.  I went too and took lots of pictures.  I never knew my kid could rock climb that well.  Will post those pictures soon. :) 

Weekend away

Here are some more photos from the weekend.  I love this one of Dave and Jamie. 

We spent Sat. shopping in Flagstaff and the evening at the cabin playing games out on the deck.  Don't laugh, but we played I Spy Go Fish.  We never laughed so hard! 

Robert stayed inside putting together his new Lego set.  He's so addicted to Lego's right now.  The more pieces the better!

Great weekend

What a great weekend we had!  Here's Jamie and Robert up at the cabin.  The weather was beautiful.  It was so relaxing and peaceful.

We made great time driving home tonight.  Only took 1 1/2 hours.  It poured most of the way home too.   

I took a ton of pics and will post more over the next few days.  I have to work tomorrow while the rest of my family gets to sleep in.  Otherwise, we'd still be up north.      

We're back!!!

Had a fabulous relaxing weekend.  Poor RC came down with something Thursday night and just snapped out of it today.  He had a little stomach bug.  He's all better though and made up for lost conversation today. ;)  Friday morning we got up early and took a drive on Schnebly Hill Rd to look for elk.  Didn't see any.  There were a few campers in the area so I think that's why.  Saw a few on the side on the freeway though.  Then we headed to Lake Mary to fish.  The bugs were so bad I stayed in the truck.  Dad and RC fished for about and hour.  Mom drove up Friday afternoon and then we scrapped all night.  Sat. mom and I drove to Flagstaff, went to the mall and the local scrapbook store.  It was a must needed long weekend.  The weather was so nice and cool.     

A little R&R

This photo was taken about this time last year up at our family cabin.  We haven't been up there since last July.  Life just gets busy and time flies by.  RC, my dad and I are headed up there in about an hour for a long weekend.  My mom will drive up tomorrow.  Dave has to work so he'll miss this trip.  I doubt we'll get any surprise snow this time.  Tomorrow we are going to Lake Mary and the guys will fish and I plan on getting some sun, read a book and of course snap some pictures.  Then all day Sat. mom and I will scrapbook.  It will be nice to get away from the crazy life and just do what we want.
