I cannot believe July is over. This summer really has flown by fast! Robert went to California Football Camp for 5 days this past week. It was the first time he's gone away by himself without a family member with him. I was nervous, but I knew he'd be fine. I remember me going to CA every year with school. Here's a couple of pictures before they boarded their bus to leave.
The hard part was not talking to him every day. I received a couple of texts and he did call twice, but he couldn't talk long. I don't know what I am going to do when he goes to college!
Anyway....everyday they got up at 5:00 AM and had breakfast at 6:00. Practice started around 7:30 and went until 10:00. Then they headed to the beach from 11:00 to 3:00. They went to Huntington Beach. Dinner was at 4:00. Night practice from 6:00 to 8:00. Lights out at 10:00 pm. (Wanted to document that for my Project Life album so I wouldn't forget).
On the last day at the beach Robert went fishing off the pier. He loves fishing so when he saw he could fish in the ocean he jumped on it! He said is was a lot of fun. He text me this picture of a baby sand shark he caught.
Dave and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary last Sunday. I received these pretty flowers from him at work. We had a great day. Went out for breakfast, did some shopping and watched a couple of movies then ordered our favorite chinese food.
Thursday was my birthday. Robert was coming home from camp that night and Dave was working until around 5:00. I decided to go do something different. I went to the casino with my mom and dad. We had a blast! So much fun! We only go to Vegas to gamble so this was kinda like going to Vegas, but we were there in 35 minutes.
On Wednesday night I had bunco. I had the most wins and won the Left, Right, Center. Here's my POTD for Wed. My winnings!
Ok better go. I have a busy day ahead of me. Lot's of fun things happening in August. Plus, a big surprise that I cannot talk about until it happens. So excited! AND......football starts!!! YAY!!
Hey girl!
18 Year Wedding Anniversary - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a great experience for Robert to have - I always wished my kids would go to some sort of camp but they are too shy. What an amazing experience for him to have. Oh how I love going to casinos - and right around the corner - awesome! This is the first time I am not sure if I am ready for school to start back. I feel like we have not done much this summer (too freaking hot) and since I work now I feel a little bad. I don't think they care though...must be a mom thing :)
