{Spring Break Recap}

Yesterday was back to school after a great spring break!  We kicked off the week with a party.  Robert had some friends over for a birthday party.  They also had a couple other movie nights, mall trips, Robert had a spring training game one day, dinner party, BBQ's with friends.  Even though Dave and I were both working, we made sure it felt like spring break for us too. ;)   

We are down to eight weeks of school left.  It sure has been a great school year!  Went a little fast, though.  This summer should be fun.  We bought tickets to Wet'n'Wild again.  They are adding a new ride to their park.  Baseball will be starting in April and football will start in May.  Hoping we can take a vacation in June if we have some time.  July is Football camp in CA.  Then school will start in August.   It'll probably fly by as well.

This weekend we are going to the Drive-In movies.  This is the same drive-in I went to when I was in high school.  I think us parents are more excited than the kids.  I'll be sure and take some pictures. 

{Spring Training Game #2}

On Tuesday, Robert had another Spring Training game to work.  The Mariners were playing the Cubs.  Robert was hoping to get in the Cubs dugout and he was very happy when he found out he was assigned to the Cubs dugout.  It was another gorgeous day out.  We had great seats again and in the shade.  Here are a bunch of photos from the game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I can't believe that spring break is ending.  The week went by really fast!  Robert had a great week hanging out with friends and doing spring break stuff.  He also worked a couple of days at my office.  Tonight a bunch of kids are over watching scary movies again. 

{Party Recap}

Saturday Robert had a party.  Fourteen of his friends came over.  Oh to be 15 again!  I remember when I was a Freshman in high school.  Wasn't that just a few years ago?  Anyway.....they had pizza, cake watched movies and just hung out until real late.  Here are some pictures from that night.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Today Robert had another spring training game.  He was in the Cubs dugout.  I'll post those pictures soon. 

 

{Robert's 15th Birthday}

Yesterday was Robert's 15th birthday.  It was a really nice day and it was nice that my aunt and uncle are here visiting to celebrate with us. :)  Dave and I gave Robert his gift the night before his birthday because we knew he wouldn't be opening his gifts until around 7:30 pm on his birthday.  We gave him the "only" thing he wanted -  an iPhone.   He was so happy!  We told him he wasn't getting it....end of story!  We wanted him to be able to use it on his birthday so that's why we gave it to him a day early.  He had a great day at school.  Some friends gave him balloons.  We went to NYPD for dinner last night.  He also got clothes, money, case for his phone, iTunes gift cards and some movies.  My mom and dad did the same thing they did last year.  Gave him a card with a dollar in it and told him he always needs to have a dollar in his wallet.  Then they handed him cash. 

This weekend Robert is having some friends over for a party.    I still can't believe his is 15!!! 

{Dodgeball Tournament}

A couple weeks ago the high school had a dodge ball tournament.  It was so fun to watch the kids dress up and show their dodge ball skills!

Spring Training Game #1

Hello!  I know....I fell off the blogging wagon again.  We have been spending a lot of time outside these past two weeks.  Love this time of the year.

Yesterday, Robert had his first of four Spring Training games he is working.  He loves being a bat boy and being in the dugout with all these players that he watches on TV.  The Padres played the A's.  The Padres won 7-6.  It was tied until the bottom of the 9th.  It was an exciting game with lots of action.  Robert got to retrieve three home runs bats.  It was so funny to watch him high five the player as they crossed home plate.  Such awesome memories!

Robert will start to play baseball in April.  He plays April, May and June.  Also, Robert's 15th birthday is Wednesday.   Still can't believe he can get his permit at the end of this year!  When did he get to be this old so fast??  Makes me happy and sad at the same time!   

Ok I have tons of photos to share from the month of Feb.  I need to take the time and start blogging and share them.  My aunt and uncle are coming to town for a couple of weeks.  They should get here on Wednesday.  So we are looking forward to visiting with them as well.  Busy, busy, but lots of FUN!  Be back soon!
