Happy Friday!

It's Friday!!!  Plus.....that means that starting this afternoon we are on vacation!!   A lot to do this weekend to get ready.  I need to finish getting all of Robert's school stuff bought.  Get all the laundry done and pack.  Get our kitties fixed up with lots of water and food.  My dad will come over everyday to get the mail and check on the house and cats.  We'll only be gone for four days.  However, when we reutrn - the only thing I want to do is the laundry from vacation and go to the grocery store.  We'll have three days until school starts so we want to spend those days at Wet-n-Wild.  The summer has just flown by so fast this year!

Last night I was able to take an hour to scrap a challenge for Scrapbook Doodle.  Here's the card I made using the Bo Bunny Mango Luau line.  

    

Another line I can't wait to get my hands on is My Little Yellow Bicycle'sTrick or Treat line.  I love their journaling tablets.  I have the summer one and they are so much fun to use.

 

  

**Update on the movie we saw the other night.  The Orphan was a very good movie!!!

We saw a few previews last Friday of some movies we want to see.  Thought I'd share them here.

So much I want to blog about....

I have all these things I want to blog about, but I just haven't had time to sit at my computer to do so.  We are just having a lot of fun this summer and going all the time!  I have a few movies I want to post about that I saw previews for.  

I LOVED Wicked!  I can't even begin to tell you how awesome it was.  I will for sure be seeing it again when it returns to Arizona.  

This week is another crazy one and I need to pack for vacation.  I'll be packing on Sunday last minute if we keep going like this.  It's all good since we are having so much fun.  Glad we aren't leaving until next Monday.

We are down to 2 weeks until school starts.  I am excited for the new school year, but also sad that next year Robert will start High School.  

I know it's still summer, but I am getting excited about fall approaching in the next couple of months.  So that makes me think of Halloween.  I've been looking on all my favorite sites today for new ideas.  I want to make these candles that were on the Martha Stewart website.  I think a cool photo like that would be fun to make too. 

    

Ok better get moving.  Robert and I are going to the Diamondback's game tonight with my parents.  The Phillies are in town.  Dave has to work until 7:30 so he can't go.  I am really going to try to post tomorrow about the previews I saw over the weekend.

What's been going on-

This week has just been busy.  I'll start with today and work backwards.

Saturday

Dave flew today and went to Seattle first.  He called from Seattle to tell me he was then flying to San Diego.  He always calls me on Saturdays to check in each time he lands.  So about 30 minutes later he calls again (which I thought was odd) to tell me they had to turn around and basically make an emergency landing!  GREAT!  I guess they had hydraulic problems.  So they were fixing it (or trying to). I wanted to know why they just couldn't get on a commercial plane and come home.   So anyway....a  little later he called to tell me he was taking off for San Diego and would call as soon as he could.  So right now I am waiting for his call.  Yes, I am a nervous wreck!  This is why I HATE flying!!  He said they may end up staying in San Diego if the pilots have used all their flying time for the day.

**Dave just called and he made it to SD. 

Tonight, my friend, Debbie and I are going to see Wicked.  I can't wait!  I've been wanting to see this play forever! 

This morning I was able to make a card.  I plan on staying home all day tomorrow to scrap, unless Robert talks me into going to Wet-n-Wild.

 

Friday

Yesterday was mine and Dave's 16th wedding anniversary.  We had a great night out together.  We went out to dinner on Thursday and then last night we went to the movies and saw Public Enemies.  This movie was really good!  Dave and I loved it and we were still talking about it this morning. I'd highly recommend going to see it.

 

Thursday

We went clothes shopping Thursday afternoon for back to school clothes.  Robert was cracking me up!  He hates to shop and this year he couldn't wait to go.  He cares about what he's wearing and wants to pick out his own clothes.  So here's my POTD for Thursday.

  

After shopping, the three of us went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner. 

Ok, Dave called again and they are going to fly back to Arizona today.  They seemed to not have any problems while flying.  Hopefully it stays that way.  It's only a 45 minute flight from San Diego.  He should be landing around 6:00.  I need to go get dressed to leave for Wicked.  I plan on taking pictures tonight.  Hope to get a few fun ones. :)

 

A little storm

Yesterday in the early evening we had a little monsoon storm.  We got a little rain at our house and a lot of wind, but my dad called from 2 miles away at his house and it was coming down hard.  Kylie and Gus happen to be over from playing Wii earlier in the day so they were here for the rain.  They were running up and down the street waiting for the rain. 

 

 

Yesterday, Jan taught me how to play Suduko.  I've been wanting to learn how to play.  I am hooked!  I love playing this game.  I got off a little early again today and I just relaxed on the couch playing Suduko.  I don't usually do that - so it was nice.   

Shopping

This morning I went shopping.  I found a lot of clothes, a couple pairs of shoes and a purse.  I had some luck today!  I've been wanting to go shopping for myself, but just haven't made the time.  I'm going to take Robert out Thursday night and get all of his new school clothes/shoes shopping done.

It's so freaking HOT today.  It's so hot that it's hard for the house to cool down. It doesn't matter how much you crank the air conditoner down.  Once the sun starts to go down it'll cool off.  It was weird to be shopping today seeing fall stuff in the stores knowing how hot it is outside.

Here's a layout that I thought I had posted here, but I guess I did not.  It photographed really dark.  It's a lot brighter in real life.

 

 

Not much else is going on.  I finally got Dave to watch True Blood and he's hooked!  We are watching the next episode tonight. 

A week later.......

We've had such a busy week this past week.  It's been a fun one, but just busy.  I have a bunch of photos so I'll just post them in order.  Last Saturday a bunch of kids that go to school together met at Wet-n-Wild for the day.  We had a blast.  I hung out with another mom and the kids just did their own thing.  Not everyone is in this photo, but this was taken before we left.

 

Monday Robert had his 2nd to last game and they won by quite a bit!  51-15.  I felt bad for the other team.  This was my POTD for that day.

 

Tuesday afternoon we went to Wet-n-Wild again for the night swim for season pass holders.  It was a lot of fun to go on the slides at night.  We didn't get home until almost 11:00!  

Wednesday was the last basketball game and they did lose.  I don't remember what the score was.  The Suns ended the season with 5 wins, 2 ties and 1 loss.  Not bad at all!  After the game we all went to Ball Park Pizza for our end of the season party.   

 

 

 

Thursday we did nothing!  It was nice to just stay home for the night. 

Friday we once again headed to Wet-n-Wild in the afternoon and stayed until closing (10:30 pm). It was their first dive-in movie night.  They played Twilight.  There was also a nice dust storm that rolled through before the sun went down.  Luckily there was no rain or lightning.  Then when the sun went down it was very cold in the water.  There was a breeze.  Even though it was over 100 degrees....when there is no humidity it gets cold in that water.

This one is very blurry.  It's Kylie, Gus and Robert after they got off the Tornado.  They were freezing! 

So today, (Saturday) we AGAIN went to Wet-n-Wild.  (are you tired of me posting about Wet-n-Wild yet??)  Today we went with Debbie and Brandon.  We really did have a lot of fun today.  We went when the park opened and were able to go on almost every ride within the first hour and not wait in any lines.  Then we hung out in the lazy river and the wave pool all day.  We got home around 4:00.  We've been to Wet-n-Wild 6 times since they've opened and Robert and I decided we need a break from going.  I am sure by next weekend we'll be dying to go again! ;)

Dave got called into work, but will have tomorrow off.  So tonight Robert and I are watching movies and I am going to scrapbook in a little while. 

114.3

It's 114.3 degrees out!  It's HOT!  We are staying inside today.  I just booked a little vacation for us the week before school starts.  We are going to Las Vegas for four days.  We are staying at the Excalibur.  We are going to the Tournament of Kings show one night, the Titanic exhibit at the Luxor and a few other fun things.  

So today I have spent my day scrapping and doing laundry.  The day is going by a little too fast so I hope it slows down!  Here's a couple of things I have made.

 

  

Tomorrow night Robert has his last basketball game.  They do have a make-up game to play, but they haven't said anything about that so hopefully they'll just let it go.  Then we are sports free until the fall.  Looking forward to just spending the rest of the summer going to Wet 'n Wild and having lazy days.   School is going to start before you know it!

Frontierland

I can't believe it's 10:00 pm and I am just sitting down for the night.  Today was a busy day.  I started working on my Disney album last night.  I wanted to share the page I finished.   I am excited to get this album done.  This picture is of Robert with some of the Frontierland characters.

Robert's been "training" the little boy next door.  Nathan is 8 years old and really looks up to Robert as an older brother.  He told Robert he wanted to start working out.  So Robert made him this little workout chart and Nathan was so excited!  Robert told him if he worked out all 5 days he could pick any two things he wanted to do.  He told Robert that he wanted to build a HUGE army fort with him and have a sleep over.  Nathan couldn't wait!  This afternoon they started on their army fort and tonight he's sleeping over.  It's funny listening to them talk and I LOVE that Robert is really into building this fort.  I like it when I see the little boy in him.  He seems so grown up these days. Here's the photo I snapped when they started building the fort.  You should see it now!  They are really messing up my family room, but their fort looks pretty cool!  That's ok with me.  I am happy to see them having fun and they promised to clean it up in the morning.   

   

On a blog roll.....

Since I've posted something for the first 7 days in July I just couldn't let one day go by! ;)  So I am going to try to post everyday this month.  I don't know if I can do it, but I am going to try. :)  I don't have anything scrap related to post, but I did start a Disney page tonight from 2005.  I have our 2007 Disney trip to scrap too!  I think I am just going to combine them and scrap a few photos from each trip.  Hopefully I'll have that done and I can post it tomorrow. So for tonight you are going to get my Project 365 photo from Sunday.  My parents came over and we played Phase 10.  Here's a photo after we were done.  Bad photo......should of closed the blinds in the background.  Nice flash glare!
