One month down!

One month of summer done.  I know for some - summer is just starting, but here in Arizona it starts around Memorial Day weekend.  Robert has been out of school for 6 weeks.  He goes back in about 6 weeks.  I can't believe it's going to be July already.  The time is really flying by fast. 

We don't have a lot going on this week.  I am happy about that.  Just doing whatever we want in the evenings.  This afternoon Jan, Kylie and I went to the mall shopping.  We went swimsuit shopping.  I was dreading it, but we found suits at the first store we went to!  I only had a couple of hours to shop until Robert was done basketball practice.  I had a few more stores I wanted to go to.  

Tonight Dave and I went to the park for a walk.  It was just getting dark and the wind was blowing.  It was actually pretty nice out.

I'm going to scrap again tonight.  It's getting late, but I'm gonna try. :)

At 9:45 in the morning....

This is our temperature.  I'm not complaining.  I'd rather be in the heat than cold.  Yesterday it reached 111 degrees.  I never went outside until after 7:00 pm yesterday.   Our monsoons are starting.  We are forcasted for storms every night this week.  I hope we get some good ones.  I love a good monsoon storm!  Happy Monday! :)

Game Night Recap

We had a blast last night!  I think Dave and I finally went to bed around 2:00.  Everyone was here until midnight.  We played 7 rounds of Left, Right, Center.  There were six winners.  Christol won twice.  Dave and I each won a hand.  Also my dad, Joe and Ida won.

 

  

 

Today we are just watching movies and taking it easy.  I was going to scrapbook today, but I have no energy and I am looking at 7 loads of laundry that needs to be done.  I'm just going to do it and get it over with.  My parents and Jan are coming over later to watch Harper's Island.  That's all that's going on with us today. :)

Random photos on a Friday night

Dave and I stayed home tonight.  We have been on the go for the past few Fridays.  It was nice to just stay home tonight.  Robert went to the Diamondbacks game with my dad.  He just got home a little bit ago.

Thought I'd share some Project 365 photos.  I have taken all my photos for June so far.  I need to print out the last two weeks and update my album.  I think I'll work on that tomorrow.  I thought I would have given up on the album by now, but I have been determined to stay with it until the end of the year.

Last Friday I went shopping with some friends in historic downtown Glendale.  Love the stores in Caitlin Court.

 

This photo is blurry, but it was fun to watch Pumpkin go crazy with her cat-nip toy one morning.

 

Found this little butterfly by the front door today.  It was dead, but still so pretty.  Robert thinks the black cat that hangs out in yard got to it.

Some fun little July 4th lights we have hanging in our backyard.  I have a few more fun decorations around the house.  I'll need to take some pictures and post them here. 

 

Tomorrow night is our party.  Looking forward to hanging out with friends and family. :)  I'll be sure to take some pictures.

Tonight the Sun's had a basketball game.  They usually only play on Mondays. They won!! :) A few friends came to the game to cheer  them on.  After the game this group of kids went to Sam's Club with me and then we had pizza back at the house. 

 

This is Sarah, Gus, Robert, Mikey and Julie.  Julie's mom came over too.  It was a weird day today.  It was over cast all day and it rained a little bit.  Just drops here and there.  Nothing else is going on.  Glad tomorrow is Friday! :)

The Greatest Show on Earth!

Tonight we went to the Ringling Bros. & Barnum Bailey circus.  It was awesome!  Their show is called "Zing Zang Zoom."  I took a ton of pictures and only a couple turned out.  The elephants were my favorite. Dave had never been a circus before.  He loved it!  My mom and dad went and had a blast too.

 

  

 

It's late and we are so tired!  Dave has to be up in 4 hours to fly tomorrow.  I don't know how he's going to get up!

This week is going to fly by......

We have a ton going on this week.....so it should fly by!

Monday: Basketball game

Tuesday: Orthodontist appt. - basketball practice - homeowner's meeting

Wednesday: Palm tree guy comes to trim the palm trees - haircuts (Dave & Robert) - circus that night

Thursday: Basketball game - Sam's Club run

Friday: Get ready for company on Saturday - RC and Grandpa go to D-Backs game

Saturday: We are having a bunch of friends over for a night of playing Left, Right, Center.  Fun, friends, good food, drinks and lots of laughs!

I had a minute to blog before I leave for our homeowner's meeting.  Robert's a bb practice.  We won't have dinner until late again.  We never seem to eat before 8:00 pm during the week.

Welcome Summer

Our highs are going to be 107 to 108 this week.  Summer has officially started! 

We had a great Father's Day yesterday.  We showed my parents how to play Phase 10.  I think they are hooked! :)  I did take some pictures yesterday, but I haven't looked at them yet. 

I will share a layout I made yesterday morning.  Robert and I at the D-Backs game last Sunday.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day & Happy First Day of Summer!

Today Dave is working, but he'll come home for lunch and he'll get off around 7:00.  So it's just Robert and I today.

My parents are coming over this evening for dinner and to play games.

Last night we played Phase 10.  We had't played that in ages.  It was the first time Robert played.  He loves this game.  We played a game this morning and he beat me.  

Today is the first day if summer.  It feels like it's been summer for a month now here in AZ.  Memorial Day is our summer start.  It's been pretty mild though and it's just now getting over 100 degrees.

Well I better get ready and head to the grocery store.  Today is flying by fast!  Here are the cards I made for Dave and the Grandpa's.

  

 

A lazy weekend

We finally have a weekend with nothing scheduled that keeps us on the go.  I am glad because I have come down with a little cold.  YUK!  I know I've been going way to much. When I go and go I usually end up getting sick.  I don't feel too bad and hope to be all back to normal by Monday.

Dave has to work on Father's Day, but is off today.  So we are celebrating with him today.  Robert and Dave are at the movies right now seeing "Terminator".  I am staying home getting some things done around here and taking it easy.  Tonight I am making Dave's favorite, tortilla soup.  

Yesterday, Robert had his last day of Peoria's Youth Police Academy.  He had a blast.  I think he liked the K-9 dogs the best. They went to the Arizona Science Center for their last day and had lunch with the Police Officers.
